A Building With a Bigger Purpose
A Town Hall is more than a building. It’s the front porch of local government—where decisions are made, services are delivered, and community trust is built.
The Town of McCordsville is growing rapidly, and with that growth came an opportunity. When the police department moved into its own dedicated building for the first time, it opened space inside Town Hall and sparked a chance to reimagine how the facility could better serve both public and staff.
Waypoint Strategies was honored to help bring that vision forward, protecting the Town’s priorities, coordinating carefully, and making sure every decision reflected how people actually use the space.
What's Changing?
Together, the team reimagined Town Hall with updates that make it more open, efficient, and welcoming. That vision translated into practical, people-first improvements throughout the facility:
Interior walls reconfigured to create open work zones and private offices that reflect how teams actually operate.
New meeting and conference rooms to support collaboration and public engagement.
Upgraded technology and infrastructure to support hybrid work, improve long-term adaptability, and enhance comfort—including bringing natural gas to the building for the first time.
Space planning to accommodate future growth and position the building for multi-use functionality over the long term.
Built to Serve, Designed to Last
This renovation isn’t just about aesthetics or square footage. It’s about how the building supports the Town now and well into the future. The updated Town Hall is designed to:
Improve staff satisfaction and productivity.
Create better access and service for the public.
Reduce future renovation costs through flexible infrastructure.
Support cross-departmental collaboration and efficient operations.
Reinforce civic identity as a responsive, modern local government.
The Right Fit for a Civic Mission
Waypoint Strategies brings firsthand knowledge of how public facilities must function over time. As an Owner’s representative, we focus on long-term usability, operational alignment, and real human experience. That made this project a natural fit—one where we could help ensure the Town of McCordsville’s vision translated into a durable, people-first civic facility.

A Unified Team, A Shared Vision
Keeping Town Hall operational during construction required thoughtful planning, strong communication, and real trust among partners. The project was split into two phases so staff could stay on-site throughout. Weekly coordination meetings kept the team aligned on goals, timing, and decision-making.
Waypoint Strategies stayed focused on the Town’s long-term goals, ensuring that every detail served the broader mission—not just what was fastest or easiest. That clarity, paired with deep collaboration from MTM Architecture and Charles C. Brandt Construction, helped turn this shared vision into reality.
Carrying the Vision Forward
Waypoint Strategies will continue to support the Town of McCordsville through the transition into the new space. Our work doesn’t stop at project completion—we’re committed to helping the building succeed for years to come.
It’s been a privilege to walk alongside the Town of McCordsville through this transformation. We’re proud to partner with MTM Architecture and CC Brandt Construction in creating a space that reflects the Town’s growth, values, and commitment to the people it serves. This transformation ensures that McCordsville’s Town Hall will continue to be a place where public service, collaboration, and community pride thrive.
